Married At First Sight Season 12: What the Heck is Going On?

Chris is a Mess, but this season has a few missteps. Two weeks of thoughts on #MAFS #MarriedAtFirstSight

2/3/21 — WHY?????

What did Paige do in her prior life to get Chris? It is the next morning and she clearly wants a divorce. Chris is a mess and I know y’all are going to disagree with me, but WHY DID SHE SLEEP WITH HIM? Dude has already presented issues, doesn’t seem that interested in you, has a creepy family — most importantly — doesn’t seem that interested in you and you STILL sleep with him. Only to have him tell you a few hours later that he isn’t attracted to you … HUH??? He still has to earn the right to be with you and Paige is giving it all away for absolutely nothing. On top of that she is day 2 dealing with panic attacks and tears. Paige should have told producers I am done the next morning. This is the clearest case of it is not going to get better. Don’t even let me start with his creepy family. Should she have phrased her concerns about Chris differently with his parents? Absolutely, there were a million ways to have said the same thing without talking sex. Mom saying he may have been drunk and dad saying he finds her attractive — Paige RUN!!! She won’t though. So we get to watch her combust over the next couple of weeks.

Ryan concerns me. For some reason I thought he was biracial; so I sort of gave him a pass on only dating white women. Well he has a beautiful black family; so I am looking at him with a side eye now. The way he talks, wears his hair … all of it … I don’t know y’all … I think he may have some stuff with him. I hope he doesn’t throw Clara away because of religion, it isn’t her thing but she seems to be clear on why and respectful of others who choose to believe. I thought she was the something off, but it may be him. I like Clara and I feel Ryan may be more complicated than he is letting on.

I need Haley to loosen up and appreciate Jacob.

Virginia is a drunk and Erik is excited to have a hot wife. This is going to implode once they really meet each other.

Vincent and Brianna are still the couple I am rooting for. However, I think they are going to circle back to his lack of college and entrepreneurial pursuits as not being stable enough for Brianna. She has the ability to stop working… he can’t and that may be an issue. Plus, Vincent in his confessionals isn’t looking too happy. It is like he is telling the story of happier times. Anybody else notice that? Sometimes they tape confessionals weeks later. I am concerned, but still rooting for them.

2/10/21 — Just my thoughts ….

Erik & Virginia were so wrong. Chris is definitely the wrong guy for Paige, but they did everything in the handbook of white people with no black friends. When Erik reached out trying to make his point by pointing in front of and then touching Chris … nope. Virginia joking about a serious matter in a condescending way … nope. Keep talking about something that I asked to drop so that it doesn’t get crazy in the room … nope. Did ya’ll see Briana, Vincent and Ryan all look at each other like … this is getting ready to go all the way left???? Erik pointed his finger and I was scared for his life.

Jacob seemed like he was being appreciated this episode. I was happy, but unfortunately it seems like the wife is going to blow up the happiness next episode.

I saw a bit of chemistry between Ryan and Clara. She is such a good person, but I think he is going to tank it with being too stubborn on religion and his things. She asked that it not be his house and he turns around in the next sentence and says — my house. Lawd!

Chris is a child and Paige is an adult … that is the issue. He finessed her at lunch saying the right things, but she KNOWS he can’t back it up. I feel bad for her because she is taking on too much for a guy who hasn’t shown her anything. You fight for someone who fights for you. Her conversation with Briana was so on point and real. I am glad Paige has someone with some sense in the group to fall back on. HOW DID CHRIS GET ON THIS SHOW???

I love Briana & Vincent. Ya’ll they were touching feet

Final thought — I may have to trade Miles for Vincent as my fave of MAFS. Miles or Vincent … your thoughts???
